Steve Jobs has just resigned as CEO of Apple and module be replaced by Tim Cook. Tim Cook was previously the company's honcho operating officer (COO). Jobs module move to stay on the Apple Board as Chairman. Since January 17th, Jobs has been on medical leave.

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I hit always said if there ever came a period when I could no longer foregather my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the prototypal to permit you know. Unfortunately, that period has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my progeny goes, I strongly propose that we fulfil our activity organisation and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I conceive Apple's brightest and most original chronicle are ahead of it. And I look nervy to watching and tributary to its success in a new role.
